  • Project Description
The experienced & professional team at Brisbane Pressed Metal worked together with RMC Builders to reinstate the beautiful pressed metal features in this Heritage listed Uniting Church. Our extensive range of designs in heritage grade, aluminium pressed metal panels, pressed to imperial measurements meant that the original design, Laura, was available & in stock. The Brisbane Pressed Metal team installed a ply substrate before installing the Laura design pressed metal panels. For convenience the pressed metal panels were supplied & installed annodised, ready to paint. The original cornice was not available so a die was cast from an original section of cornice. Lengths of the replicated cornice pressed in premium aluminium were installed by Brisbane Pressed Metal. The cornice was named Onkaparinga. The final element to restore this classic ceiling was to replicate the 3 ceiling rose vents. The original roses were not available & in extremely poor condition. Only 3 were needed so the talented Brisbane Pressed Metal team skillfully crafted 3 bespoke roses to match as closely as possible the original roses using pressed metal panels, rails & products from our catalogue. Brisbane Pressed Metal are proud to be a part of restoring & saving Australias Heritage Buildings.
