  • Project Description
HACKETT HALL National Pressed Metal (the contracting arm of Australian Pressed Metal) & Perth Pressed Metal worked closely with Heritage Architects & builder Multiplex on the restoration & redevelopment of the heritage listed buildings in the Perth Cultural Centre, part of a state heritage precinct with buildings dating back to the 1890's Gold Rush. Minor repairs were required to the original pressed metal ceilings in this impressive room above Beaufort Hall.  Due to the enormous 40 foot high (12 metre) ceilings the original pressed metal ceilings were in excellent repair. The design is currently not available so the experienced teams at National Pressed Metal and Perth Pressed Metal repaired and restored the minor damage to its original elegance. GAOL Original pressed metal ceilings were repaired, restored and replaced in the wardens' offices in the old gaol. Panels were removed to upgrade services to meet current codes and original panels were reinstated where possible or replaced using the original imperial Fleur design. Where the ceilings were severely damaged beyond repair new pressed metal ceilings were installed in the traditional Fleur design keeping the authentic heritage character of the building.
